David Bowkett

David joined the UK SPINE team in April 2019 as Industry Partnership Manager. David is responsible for promoting strong links between industry and the UK SPINE initiative by seeking out and developing opportunities for partnerships.

David has an undergraduate degree in chemistry and a DPhil in medicinal chemistry from the University of Oxford, with his research on the development of chemical probes for histone binding proteins. Prior to joining the UK SPINE team he spent nearly four years working for UKRI in a variety of roles, most recently as a member of BBSRC’s business interaction unit, leading on the development of strategies to support the healthcare sector.
