University of Oxford

The University of Oxford is a world leader in research and education for the benefit of society both in the UK and globally. Oxford's researchers engage with academic, commercial and cultural partners across the world to stimulate high quality research and enable innovation through a broad range of social, policy and economic impacts. The UK SPINE brings together expertise across a variety of different departments at the University, including the Medical Sciences Division, Innovation and Engagement and the Centre for Medicines Discovery.

The Medical Sciences Division is an internationally recognized centre of excellence for biomedical and clinical research and aims to be the best university biomedical institution in Europe. MSD is amongst the best five biomedical institutions in the world and has been ranked number one for the last seven years in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings for clinical, pre-clinical and health sciences – the only non-North American institution to be top-ranked by THE in any subject discipline.

The Centre for Medicines Discovery is a multi-disciplinary institute within the University of Oxford’s Nuffield Department of Medicine which focuses upon translational activities to catalyse the discovery and development of new medicines for patients

The Innovation and Engagement team connects people and integrates opportunities in knowledge exchange, research impact and innovation at the University of Oxford. The team works with University colleagues, funders and external partners to help build relationships with a fully institutional, regional and national strategic perspective.
