The Longevity week is run annually bringing together a series of events focusing on issues around longevity. This year the focus is on how longevity affects each generation from childhood to working life to later years.

This year The Longevity Forum is collaborating with UK SPINE to organise the Science Summit 2022 to be held at Oriel College, Oxford on Wednesday 16 November.  We are delighted to invite you to register for this free, invitation only event where we will be sharing knowledge, research and understanding of age-related illness and the challenges of trying to accelerate innovation in this field.  The day will run from 9-4pm and the afternoon sessions will be drawing on some of the research and discussions supported by UK SPINE.

We have put together an exciting programme with confirmed speakers including Dr Satomi Miwa (Newcastle), Dr James Edwards (Oxford), Dr Evandro Fei Fang (Oslo), Dr Ilyas Khan (Cambridge Quantum Computing), Prof Lynne Cox (Oxford), Dr Thomas Jackson (Birmingham), Graeme Wilkinson (Medicines Discovery Catapult) and others. They will present the potential promise that therapeutics,  which have already approved for existing indications, can be ‘repurposed’ to help improve healthy in later years. In addition, we will invite a broad range of perspectives to be discussed during a panel discussion where we will bring together challenges and opportunities from different stages in the development of therapeutics – from target discovery to clinical implications.

There will be plenty of opportunity for networking and discussion over a sandwich at lunch and during other breaks.

It's by invitation only, You can find further details of the programme LongevityWeek (thelongevityforum.com)
